What is the RDL ST-IC1?
The RDL ST-IC1 is an intercom amplifier that raises a microphone or speaker-level signal to a 1 W speaker output with optional muting. It is a compact STICK-ON module for intercom and talkback systems.
How does it work?
The ST-IC1 has one input, one output and two muting control terminals. The input accepts a dynamic mic, a condenser mic with a phantom supply terminal, an 8 Ω speaker or a 45 Ω speaker, with gain adjustable from off to 70 dB. Frequency response is 300 Hz to 4 kHz (±2 dB), filtered for voice-band intelligibility. The ground-referenced output delivers 1 W RMS into 8 Ω and connects to any load of 4 Ω or greater. Muting is solid state with attenuation greater than 115 dB, and the module runs from a 24 Vdc supply such as the RDL PS-24AX.
