What is the RDL ST-FS6?
The RDL ST-FS6 is a passive six-channel ferrite suppressor that removes RF interference induced in audio or control cables. It is a practical fix for audible RF pickup in sound systems where excessive RF levels are induced in the cabling.
How does it work?
Each of the six identical channels feeds its input through a series of ferrite RF suppressors to its output, with attenuation greater than 10 dB at 10 MHz and greater than 25 dB at 200 MHz. Suppression is achieved with no capacitance to ground and no series resistance, and all channels are isolated so any wiring scheme can be used. Two separate ground screw terminals provide tie points for cable shields when shielded cable is used. The STICK-ON module mounts with the RDL MB-1, RDL SR-4 or RDL DRA-35S, and the RDL STS-RF1 adds a shielded chassis.
What are the key features?

- Measured attenuation — RDL rates attenuation above 10 dB at 10 MHz and above 25 dB at 200 MHz.
- No capacitance or series resistance — Ferrite suppression avoids capacitance to ground and series resistance in the signal path.
- Shield ground terminals — Two ground screw terminals give shielded cables a convenient tie point to earth or rack ground.
- Passive operation — The module requires no power and operates from -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C).
