RDL FP-BUC2 – 2-Channel Balanced to Unbalanced Converter

What is the RDL FP-BUC2?

The RDL FP-BUC2 is a two-channel active balanced-to-unbalanced audio converter in the compact FLAT-PAK format. It connects professional balanced XLR sources to consumer -10 dBV equipment such as recorders, TVs and consumer amplifiers in conference rooms, equipment racks and broadcast setups.

How does it work?

Two identical transformerless channels accept balanced bridging inputs on gold-contact XLR jacks and deliver unbalanced -10 dBV outputs on gold-plated phono jacks. A level trim on each channel adjusts gain ±6 dB, and the 75 ohm output drives 600 ohm or 10 kohm unbalanced lines. Low noise, low distortion and better than -90 dB crosstalk preserve audio clarity, with a 10 Hz to 40 kHz response. The low-profile module runs from ground-referenced 24 Vdc such as the RDL PS-24AX 24 Vdc power supply and mounts in cabinets, on shelves or in racks with the RDL FP-RRA 19 in. rack adapter, the FP-HRA 10.4 in. rack mount or the DRA-35F DIN rail adapter.
