What is the RDL FP-AVDA4?
The RDL FP-AVDA4 is a 1x4 distribution amplifier that splits one composite video signal and one stereo audio signal to four destinations at once. All connections use phono (RCA) jacks, making it a direct fit for consumer-format sources feeding multiple displays and audio inputs. Its compact all-metal FLAT-PAK housing suits equipment racks, lecterns and AV furniture.
How does it work?
The FP-AVDA4 accepts a single 75 Ω video input and left and right unbalanced audio inputs on top-panel phono jacks. It provides four source-terminated 75 Ω video outputs, each paired with a stereo audio output located next to it. Audio and video outputs run at unity gain, so the signal level at each destination matches the source. Unused outputs do not need to be terminated, which simplifies partial deployments. Video bandwidth is flat to 10 MHz, and audio frequency response extends from 20 Hz to 40 kHz (±0.25 dB). Output isolation of more than 45 dB on video and audio crosstalk better than 75 dB help keep each feed clean. The module runs from ground-referenced 24 Vdc at 60 mA; RDL recommends the PS-24AS (USA) or PS-24AX (international) supply, not included. For rack installation, use the FP-HRA 10.4-inch rack mount, FP-RRA 19-inch rack adapter or FP-RRB1 rear rail kit.
