RDL EZ-HSX4 – 4x1 Stereo Audio Switcher with Headphone Amp
What is the RDL EZ-HSX4?
The RDL EZ-HSX4 is a four-input stereo audio source selector with an output level control. It provides both a line-level output and headphone outputs.
How does it work?
Four stereo sources connect on rear-panel RCA jacks and are selected with full-size interlocking front-panel pushbuttons. The line output on RCA jacks can be set for fixed unity gain or variable level that follows the front-panel control. Headphone outputs on 1/4 in. and mini-jacks also follow the level control, making the unit useful as a four-input headphone amplifier or as a selector feeding a power amplifier. It runs from a 24 Vdc supply such as the RDL PS-24AX 24 Vdc power supply. For permanent installs, the unit mounts in a 19-inch rack with the RDL EZ-RA6 rack adapter or under a counter with the EZ-UCB2 under-counter bracket pair.
What are the key features?
- Four stereo inputs — Rear-panel RCA jacks accept four unbalanced stereo sources.
- Pushbutton source selection — Full-size interlocking front-panel buttons make source changes simple for any user.
- Fixed or variable line out — The RCA line output can run at unity gain or follow the front-panel level control.
- Headphone outputs — Both 1/4 in. and mini-jack headphone outputs follow the front-panel level control.
- Solid-state switching — Audio is switched electronically so switch noise does not affect signal quality.
