What is the RDL DS-TPSML1A?
The RDL DS-TPSML1A is a stainless steel single-pair Format-A sender with an XLR input that accepts either a microphone or a balanced line-level source. It sends that signal over twisted pair cable to RDL Format-A receivers.
How does it work?
Rear-panel switches select MIC or LINE operation, mic gain of 46 dB (MIC LOW) or 60 dB (MIC HIGH), and IEC P24 phantom on or off; phantom is not applied in LINE mode. The output is assigned to Format-A pair A, B or C, so the module can be chained with two other single-pair senders or one two-pair sender. Signal and power pairs pass through both rear RJ45 jacks, and a blue LED inside the XLR jack shows that the module is powered. It can be powered remotely through the cable or locally from a 24 Vdc supply such as the RDL PS-24AX 24 Vdc power supply, and it mounts in RDL wall boxes like the RDL WB-1U wall box.

- Switchable gain and phantom — Rear switches set 46 dB or 60 dB mic gain, unity line gain and P24 phantom on or off.
- Selectable Format-A pair — The output can feed pair A, B or C so several senders share a single twisted pair cable.
- Power indicator in XLR — A blue LED built into the XLR jack confirms the module is receiving power.
- Remote or local power — The module runs from power on the twisted pair cable or from a local 24 Vdc terminal block input.
