What is the RDL DS-TPS2AM?
The RDL DS-TPS2AM is a Format-A two-pair sender with an XLR microphone input and a stereo mini-jack line input on a Decora-style panel. It lets a presenter connect a mic and a laptop or media player at the wall and send both over one twisted-pair cable.
How does it work?
The microphone input feeds pair A, while the -10 dBV stereo mini-jack input is summed to mono and feeds pair B. Studio-quality active balanced circuitry drives both pairs. Power arrives remotely through the twisted-pair cable or from a fused local terminal block input fed by a 24 Vdc supply such as the RDL PS-24AX power supply (the international version of RDL's recommended 24 Vdc supply). The DS-TPS2AM uses a stainless steel faceplate to coordinate with RDL stainless Decora-style controls in commercial and industrial spaces. Receive the signals with Format-A receivers such as the RDL D-TPR1A, and mount the sender in an RDL WB-1U wall box.
