What is the RDL DS-J2?
The RDL DS-J2 is a Decora-style line input panel assembly in a stainless steel finish with two gold-plated RCA phono jacks for consumer-level audio sources. It converts unbalanced stereo or mono signals into a balanced line output, ready for a commercial mixer, amplifier or DSP.
How does it work?
The two front-panel phono jacks accept mono or stereo consumer sources such as media players and laptops. Left and right are combined and balanced through audio transformers configured to reject induced hum. The balanced line-level output appears on the rear-panel terminal block (+, -, SHIELD) for connection to equipment inputs of 10 kΩ or higher. Frequency response on the line input is 30 Hz to 20 kHz (±1 dB), and the assembly is passive. Mount it in a standard US single-gang electrical box, an RDL WB-1U back box, an SMB-1G surface mount box, a DC-1G desktop chassis, or an RM-D3 19-inch rack panel.

- Balanced output — The rear terminal block delivers a balanced line signal suited to longer cable runs.

- Single-gang fit — At 4.13 in by 1.7 in, it mounts in standard US single-gang boxes or RDL Decora mounting hardware.
