RDL AMS-TS1 – Illuminated Capacitive Touch Pushbutton

What is the RDL AMS-TS1?

The RDL AMS-TS1 is an illuminated, touch-activated electronic pushbutton with an integral controller for AV control panels. It gives integrators a capacitive touch button that works without an external controller and fits standard D-style cutouts.

How does it work?

The AMS-TS1 operates in Toggle, Momentary or Pulse mode, with Pulse mode producing a 125 mS active output on each touch. Two open-collector outputs are provided: one pulls to ground when the output is active and the other when it is inactive. By default the button glows green when active and red when inactive, or the indicator can be driven by open collectors or switches on external RDL modules. The module runs from ground-referenced 24 Vdc at 30 mA and mounts in RDL AMS mounting frames, with related RDL accessories including the AMS-RU4 and AMS-HR6, or in RDL Decora-style wall plates.

What are the key features?

• Three operating modes — Toggle, Momentary and Pulse modes are set by the installer to suit the control task.
• Dual open-collector outputs — Separate active and inactive outputs drive relays, logic inputs or other RDL modules directly.
• Bicolor illumination — The green and red indicator shows output state and can be controlled internally or by remote equipment.
• No external controller required — The integral controller lets the button switch equipment on its own.
• Flexible mounting — It fits D-style cutouts, RDL AMS mounting frames and RDL Decora-style wall plates.
