Product Description
The RCU2S-B1B6 extends all required signals for an AVer PTC500+ deployment up to 300 feet over a single CAT5e or CAT6 cable run. The Head End (HE) connects to the codec or USB host and RS-232 control output; the Camera End (CE) connects directly to the AVer PTC500+ using the B1B6 cable kit. The RS-232 control loop is bidirectional, carrying PTZ control commands from the codec or control system to the camera and returning feedback where applicable.
Power delivery at the camera end supports 5V and 12V DC, so the AVer PTC500+ does not require a separate local power supply at the camera mount. The bi-directional audio channel is also carried, supporting any audio functionality of the connected camera. UVC compliance means the AVer PTC500+ is recognized as a standard USB video device on any USB 2.0 host without proprietary driver installation — compatible with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco, Poly, and BYOM platforms.
