Product Overview
The QSC NV-32-H is a 4K60 4:4:4 Q-SYS network video endpoint that functions as either an encoder or decoder within the Q-SYS ecosystem — configured via software to match the role required in each installation. In encoder mode, it captures HDMI input and distributes it over the Q-SYS network; in decoder mode, it receives network video and outputs to an HDMI display. The “Core Capable” designation means the NV-32-H can optionally run Q-SYS Core processing directly on the device itself when licensed with the SLQCMS-NV32-P Core Mode Video Streaming License, enabling smaller room deployments without a separate Core processor in the rack.
Key Features
- 4K60 4:4:4 HDMI I/O — High-fidelity video transport with full chroma sampling; suitable for high-resolution content distribution in boardrooms and large-format displays.
- Software-configurable encoder or decoder — A single SKU covers both input and output roles; role assigned in Q-SYS Designer without hardware changes.
- Core Capable — Optional Core Mode Video Streaming License enables on-device Q-SYS Core processing, eliminating the need for a separate Core processor in smaller installations.
- Native Q-SYS integration — Full video routing, audio embedding/de-embedding, and device management from Q-SYS Designer.
- Dante audio support — Embedded audio routing via Dante across the Q-SYS network alongside video transport.
Typical Applications
- Boardroom (4K video distribution)
- Conference room (HDMI over IP)
- Training room
- Multi-purpose room
- Small room without dedicated Core processor (Core Capable mode)
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the NV-32-H and NV-21-HU?
The NV-32-H is a full 4K60 4:4:4 network video endpoint for video distribution (encoder/decoder); the NV-21-HU is a USB-C AV bridging endpoint designed for UC platform connectivity at the table. The NV-32-H handles display distribution; the NV-21-HU handles laptop connection.
Is the Core Mode Video Streaming License required?
No — the NV-32-H functions as a standard encoder/decoder without it. The SLQCMS-NV32-P license is required only when using the NV-32-H as a standalone Core processor for rooms that don't have a separate Core in the rack.
