What is the Netgear WBE750 WiFi 7 access point?

The Netgear WBE750-100NAS is a tri-band WiFi 7 business access point with up to 18.4Gbps of theoretical throughput, a 10G/Multi-Gigabit PoE++ port and NETGEAR Insight cloud management. It is designed for high-density commercial spaces where conference rooms, training rooms and open offices carry video calls, wireless presentation and large file transfers at the same time. Each of the 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz radios runs 4x4, and no hardware WiFi controller is needed. A 1-year NETGEAR Insight subscription is included.

How does the Netgear WBE750 work?

The WBE750 splits its 18.4Gbps theoretical capacity across three 4x4 bands: 1,147Mbps on 2.4GHz, 5,765Mbps on 5GHz and 11,530Mbps on 6GHz. The 6GHz band supports ultra-wide 320MHz channels, which Netgear rates at up to 5Gbps to WiFi 7 client devices. Multi-Link Operation and Preamble Puncturing let the access point work around interference inside a channel rather than abandoning it, which keeps latency low for real-time traffic such as Teams and Zoom calls in a busy meeting space.

A single 10G/Multi-Gigabit Ethernet port carries data and IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ power, with a PoE power consumption of 39W. That 10G uplink matters: a 1G switch port would cap a tri-band WiFi 7 access point far below its wireless capacity. Plan the switch side with a 10G multi-gig PoE++ switch such as the Netgear M4350-40X4C, and confirm the per-port PoE budget during design.

NETGEAR Insight provides cloud and local management from the portal or app, including fast roaming, up to 8 SSIDs and enterprise security modes (OWE, WPA2/WPA3-PSK and WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise). Each unit covers up to 3,000 square feet, and the 172 x 172 x 44 mm housing keeps a low profile on a ceiling. On the same Insight account, the WBE750 sits alongside the Netgear WBE758 and the Netgear WBE718 WiFi 7 access points, so a building can mix models by room size and budget.

What are the key features of the Netgear WBE750?

  • Tri-band WiFi 7, up to 18.4Gbps — 4x4 radios on 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz give capacity for dense client loads.
  • 320MHz channels on 6GHz — Supports transmission speeds up to 5Gbps to WiFi 7 client devices.
  • Multi-Link Operation — Works around interfering frequencies instead of making the whole channel unusable.
  • Preamble Puncturing — Uses the clean portions of a channel to reduce congestion.
  • 10G/Multi-Gigabit PoE++ port — One 802.3bt cable delivers power and full-bandwidth uplink.
  • Up to 8 SSIDs with WPA3 — Separate guest, staff and device networks with current WiFi security.
  • Controller-free Insight management — Cloud and local management from the Insight portal or app, with a 1-year subscription included.
  • Limited lifetime hardware warranty — Backed by Netgear's limited lifetime hardware warranty, with optional Sprint or Overdrive support contracts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What switch port does the Netgear WBE750 need?

It needs an IEEE 802.3bt (PoE++) port able to supply its 39W draw, ideally on a 10G/multi-gig port so the uplink matches the access point's wireless capacity. A 1G port will work but limits throughput.

Does the WBE750 need a wireless controller?

No. It is managed through NETGEAR Insight cloud and local management, with no hardware controller. A 1-year Insight subscription is included.

Will older WiFi devices connect to the WBE750?

Yes. Netgear states the access point is backwards compatible with older WiFi devices, while WiFi 7 clients can use 320MHz channels on 6GHz.

How many WBE750 access points does a building need?

Netgear rates coverage at up to 3,000 square feet per unit, but wall construction, ceiling height and client density drive the real count. Creation Networks can run a predictive or on-site survey as part of the network design.

Can the WBE750 run on the same network as AV-over-IP and Dante traffic?

Yes, with VLAN separation. Up to 8 SSIDs can be mapped to separate networks, and the AV traffic stays on its own VLANs on the managed switch. Browse the Netgear networking collection for compatible switches and Insight subscriptions.

What warranty and support come with the WBE750?

It carries Netgear's limited lifetime hardware warranty. Netgear also offers Sprint (24/5 support with advance RMA) and Overdrive (24/7 support, 2-hour SLA, next-business-day RMA) contracts in one, three or five year terms.

Does Creation Networks install the WBE750?

Yes. Creation Networks designs, installs, configures and supports Netgear wireless and switching nationwide as part of complete AV and network systems.
