The M4300-96X ships as a chassis base without port cards or power supplies, which must be ordered separately to build a working configuration. Compatible line cards include the APM408F (SFP+), APM408C (10GBASE-T), APM408P (10GBASE-T PoE+), and APM402XL (40G QSFP+), letting you mix copper, fiber, PoE+, and 40G uplinks within one chassis. The platform supports spine-and-leaf 1G/10G/40G mixed stacking with non-stop forwarding (NSF) for resilient cores. Its advanced L2/L3/L4 feature set — including static, policy-based, RIP, OSPF, VRRP, and PIM routing — is available with no license required. For AV-over-IP, the M4300-96X is SDVoE-Ready with Zero-Touch IGMP multicast, and it is OpenFlow 1.3 ready for SDN environments. Management spans CLI, GUI, SNMP, sFlow, and RSPAN, with single-pane oversight through NETGEAR NMS300.
