The Middle Atlantic SF3 is a 3-space fine perforation security cover designed to prevent tampering with rack-mounted AV equipment while allowing visibility of status LEDs and indicator lights through its fine perforation pattern. At 1 inch deep with installed rubber edging, this metal cover fits over three rack spaces of equipment to create a physical barrier against unauthorized button presses, input changes, and cable disconnections. Compatible with Guardian Series security rack screws for enhanced tamper resistance in high-security applications.
Product Description
The SF3 fine perforation security cover uses a tighter perforation pattern compared to the standard S-series covers, providing a more secure barrier while still allowing airflow to pass through to the equipment behind. The fine perforations also allow visual monitoring of power indicators and status LEDs without removing the cover. The 1-inch deep metal construction creates a robust barrier that resists casual tampering, and the installed rubber edging on the cover frame protects the rack equipment's front panel finishes from scratches during installation and removal. The SF series is available in 1, 2, and 3-space sizes to cover different equipment height configurations. For the highest level of security, SF3 covers can be installed using Middle Atlantic's Guardian Series HSK security rack screws, which require the proprietary Guardian Series driver bit for removal. This combination is appropriate for high-traffic public-access AV installations including auditoriums, lobbies, and educational facilities.
