The Middle Atlantic RSH4A2S is a custom 2U rackshelf enclosure with an 11.5" shelf depth, made for racking compact non-rackmount components in a standard 19" rack or enclosure. Middle Atlantic cuts the black brushed and anodized face plate to the exact faceplate dimensions of the equipment you specify, so the installed result reads as factory rackmount hardware. No drilling, brackets, or on-site modification is required. It is the shortest-depth standard-width 2U shelf in the RSH4A family, ideal where rear rack clearance is at a premium.

Product Description

Plenty of AV devices that belong in a rack — set-top boxes, streaming sources, modems, and small network appliances — simply were not built for one. The RSH4A2S gives these components a proper home: a supporting shelf behind a custom-cut anodized face plate that frames the device's own front panel cleanly within the rack elevation.

Reading the model number: RSH4A is Middle Atlantic's custom rackshelf platform with the black brushed anodized face plate, 2 means two rack spaces (2U) of height, and the S depth code calls out an 11.5" shelf. As a standard-width shelf, it handles equipment up to 17-3/8" wide. The shallow platform leaves generous space behind the shelf for power, signal cabling, and airflow in tight credenza racks and wall cabinets.

When you order, supply the make and model of the component to be mounted so the factory cutout arrives matched to your gear. The shelf installs on any EIA-standard 19" rack rails and pairs visually with blanks and vent panels from the Middle Atlantic collection.
