The Middle Atlantic MPR-JB853A is an optional junction box for MPR Series raceways, measuring 8 inches deep by 5 inches wide by 3 inches high. It mounts on the end of an MPR raceway and provides electrical knockouts for bringing conduit and building wiring into the raceway power system. Steel construction with a black finish keeps the box durable and visually consistent with the MPR raceway it serves.
Product Description
Every MPR Series raceway installation needs a defined transition point where the electrician's rough-in terminates and the raceway circuit begins. The Middle Atlantic MPR-JB853A is the compact junction box for that job. Fitting on the end of an MPR raceway, it accepts conduit or cable through its pre-formed electrical knockouts and encloses the wiring connections in a steel box finished in black. At 5 inches wide, the MPR-JB853A is the narrower of the two MPR J-box options, which makes it the better fit when the raceway runs through a shallow wall cavity, tight millwork channel, or a crowded equipment alcove where every inch of width matters. If the wiring plan calls for more interior working room, the MPR-JB863A provides a 6-inch-wide alternative with the same depth and height. As an optional accessory, the J-box is specified only on raceway runs where the electrical design requires an integral termination enclosure.
