Product Description
Middle Atlantic's WRK, MRK, and ERK series enclosures are available with solid rear doors that include laser-pre-cut knockouts in configurable positions. The thermal management design for the enclosure determines which knockout positions should have fans, vents, or remain blanked. The KO-VT3 fills the 5.25-inch (3-space) knockout position with a vented panel that allows passive airflow through the rear door at that location. This is used when the enclosure design calls for passive rear ventilation at specific positions rather than active fan cooling, or when supplemental passive venting is needed alongside other thermal accessories. The vent kit is designed to fit precisely in the 5.25-inch LKO opening without modification after the knockout tab is removed. Proper selection of blank, vent, and fan inserts across all knockout positions ensures the rear door contributes effectively to the overall enclosure thermal management strategy.
