In an MPR raceway build, not every module needs its own intelligence. The JMS primary/secondary jumper creates a control relationship between modules: an RLM Series module acts as the primary, and any M Series basic modules connected through these jumpers follow it as secondaries. When the RLM module switches its circuit on or off — from a contact closure, control system command, or sequencing event — the linked M Series modules switch with it. That architecture keeps the cost per controlled outlet low, since one advanced module can govern a chain of economical basic modules on the same circuit. Each MPR control jumper is 12 inches long and pre-terminated, so connections between adjacent module positions in the raceway are plug-in simple with no field termination.
