The Middle Atlantic 5W is a set of four commercial-grade, non-locking casters with mounting hardware for Slim 5 and ERK series rack systems. The kit bolts directly to the bottom of the rack and carries a combined weight capacity of 1,300 pounds. Installed, the casters add 3-7/8 inches to overall cabinet height. This is the standard-wheel caster kit in the Slim 5 line; locking and fine-floor versions are sold separately.
Product Description
Loaded equipment racks are far easier to wire, service, and reposition when they roll, and the 5W caster kit is the simplest way to put a Middle Atlantic Slim 5 or ERK rack on wheels. The four commercial-grade casters bolt to the bottom of all ERK and Slim 5 series rack systems using the included hardware, and the set is rated for a 1,300-pound weight capacity, which comfortably handles a fully loaded frame.
The casters can bolt directly to the Slim 5 rack, or fit within a skirted base for installations where the wheels should stay hidden behind a finished lower trim. Once mounted, the kit adds 3-7/8 inches to the overall cabinet height, a figure worth confirming against ceiling clearance and millwork openings before installation. These are non-locking casters, suited to racks that are rolled out for service and pushed back into a closet, credenza, or equipment room where the rack rests in place.
