What is the Magewell Pro Convert for NDI to HDMI Module?
The Magewell Pro Convert for NDI to HDMI Module is a hot-swappable Modator blade that decodes NDI and network video streams to HDMI for displays, projectors and switchers. It decodes NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX, HX2 and HX3 as well as SRT, RTSP, RTMP, HLS, HTTP and MPEG-TS streams. Installed in a Modator 2U chassis, it puts up to ten decoder outputs in two rack units for control rooms, overflow spaces and campus distribution.
How does the Magewell Pro Convert for NDI to HDMI Module work?
The module installs in a Modator 2U slot and draws power and cooling from the chassis. It discovers NDI sources on the network, decodes the selected stream with SpeedHQ, H.264 or H.265 video and AAC or MP3 audio, and outputs HDMI to the connected display, with output resolution, deinterlacing, on-screen display and audio mapping configured per module.
Each module has its own network connection and web interface and is also managed through the chassis touchscreen, Magewell Control Hub or HTTP APIs. Because modules are hot-swappable, one decoder can be replaced while the rest keep running.
