Product Overview
The Listen Technologies RBP01L is a blanking plate at half the width of the RM1 rack mount, filling the unused half of a rack shelf when only one unit is installed. It closes the aperture so the rack presents a finished face and airflow behaves as the design intended rather than short-circuiting through an open gap.
Product Description
Rack mount kits that carry two half-width units leave an open aperture when only one is fitted, which happens on most single-driver installations.
An open gap in a rack face is a cosmetic problem and a thermal one. Forced-air cooling depends on air being drawn through the intended path; an unblanked aperture lets it take the short route instead, reducing the airflow over the equipment that needs it.
Specify one blanking plate per unfilled half-width position. It is a small line item that is easily missed at order stage and noticed immediately at handover.
