The Listen Technologies LAS-04-DB-A1 is a complete Auri assistive listening system for assembly areas seating up to 100, supplied with a two-channel Auracast transmitter, a 4-unit docking station, 4 receivers and the wearable accessories a venue needs on day one. Auracast broadcast audio removes the pairing step that made earlier Bluetooth assistive listening impractical in public venues, and places no ceiling on how many compatible devices can receive the broadcast at once. The Dante variant takes its audio over the network rather than an analogue feed.

Product Description

ADA assistive listening obligations are usually met by counting receivers against seats. That is what a packaged system is for: the LAS-04-DB-A1 covers an assembly area of up to 100 seats in one order code, so the specification does not have to be assembled line by line from a components catalogue.

Auracast changes the economics underneath that obligation. Because it is a broadcast rather than a paired connection, an unlimited number of compatible devices can receive the same stream, so patrons carrying Auracast-capable phones or hearing aids need no hardware from the venue at all. The 4 AURI-RX1 receivers in this kit exist for the patrons who do not, which is what most accessibility obligations still require a venue to provide.

The transmitter carries two independent channels, which covers audio description alongside the floor language, or a second language, without a second system. End-to-end latency is under 40 ms, low enough that a listener watching the stage does not perceive the audio as detached from the speaker's lips.

Receivers charge and store in the included Auri Docking Station 4, which also handles firmware distribution across the fleet. Two earphone and neck loop lanyards are supplied for telecoil hearing aid wearers and 4 universal stereo headphones for everyone else.

Order Auri signage alongside the system. Signage is a compliance requirement in its own right, not an accessory: a venue that installs assistive listening without indicating that it is available has not discharged the obligation. Transmitters ship without a power supply and run from PoE or USB-C, so add the USB-C charger where PoE is not available at the mounting position.
