What is the Kramer VIA Campus2 PLUS?
The Kramer VIA Campus² PLUS is a simultaneous wired and wireless presentation and collaboration solution. It delivers all the features of the VIA Campus² and adds a 4K@30 HDMI input, so presenters can connect by cable or share wirelessly from any laptop or mobile device. It suits boardrooms, conference rooms, classrooms and lecture halls that need both BYOD wireless sharing and a reliable wired connection.
How does the Kramer VIA Campus2 PLUS work?
Participants connect through the Kramer VIA app or plug into the HDMI input, and VIA 4.0 lets users, including guests, join securely and disconnect automatically; presentations can stop automatically when a user leaves the room. Up to six user screens can be shown on one display or twelve across two, using the HDMI and DisplayPort outputs at up to 4K@30. iOS devices mirror via AirPlay, Windows and Android via Miracast, and Chromebooks are supported, with 60fps streaming multimedia for smooth video.
Built-in isolated Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity keeps guest access separate from the corporate network. The unit runs Windows 10 and supports third-party conferencing apps such as Teams, Skype for Business, Zoom, GoToMeeting and WebEx, with Kramer noting Teams requires a Windows 11 license upgrade. Additional features include remote power control, a calendar widget on the wallpaper, cloud-based file sharing and digital signage during idle time. USB 3.1 and USB 2.0 ports, a microphone input and a line output connect room peripherals and audio.
