Kramer RK-CAMPUS – 19-Inch 2U Rack Adapter for VIA Campus
What is the Kramer RK-CAMPUS?
The Kramer RK-CAMPUS is a 19-inch rack adapter that mounts one Kramer VIA Campus unit and its power supply in a 2U rack space. Kramer also lists it as the rack accessory on its VIA Campus² product page. It lets integrators move a wireless presentation hub out of the room and into the equipment rack for a cleaner, more secure installation.
What does the Kramer RK-CAMPUS do?
The RK-CAMPUS gives the VIA Campus a fixed home in a standard 19-inch equipment rack, alongside switchers, DSPs and control processors. It holds the unit together with its power supply, so there is no loose power brick sitting on a rack shelf. Mounting the collaboration hub in the rack keeps it protected from tampering and simplifies cable management for HDMI, network and USB connections.
For other Kramer rack hardware, see the Kramer RK-T2B-B MegaTOOLS rack adapter and the Kramer RK-3T-B TOOLS rack adapter. Current VIA collaboration products include the Kramer VIA Connect2.
What are the key features of the Kramer RK-CAMPUS?
- Single-unit capacity — Holds one VIA Campus unit with its power supply.
- 19-inch rack format — Mounts in standard equipment racks.
- 2U rack space — Compact footprint for the collaboration hub.
- Secure installation — Keeps the hub out of the room and away from tampering.
