What is the Kramer SWT3-22-HU-WP-T wall-plate switcher?
The Kramer SWT3-22-HU-WP-T is a 2x2 4K60 USB-C/HDMI wall-plate auto-switcher transmitter with one USB-C input, one HDMI/USB input and independently routable HDMI and extended-range HDBaseT 3.0 outputs. It extends 4K60 4:4:4 HDMI, USB 2.0, Ethernet, RS-232, IR and power over twisted pair to a compatible remote receiver, and switches room USB peripherals to the active host. It puts a full hybrid-meeting connection point into a wall plate at the table or lectern.
How does the Kramer SWT3-22-HU-WP-T work?
A presenter plugs in by USB-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode with USB Power Delivery 3.0) or by HDMI with USB. The wall plate auto-switches to the active source and routes local and remote USB peripherals, such as the room camera and microphone, to that host so conferencing apps pick them up. Because the HDMI and HDBaseT outputs are independently routable, one source can feed a local display while another goes to a remote display, or both can show the same content.
The HDBaseT 3.0 output reaches up to 100m (330ft) with Kramer HDBaseT cables, carrying 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 video at 18Gbps with HDCP 2.3, plus USB 2.0, Ethernet and RS-232, and the HDBaseT port accepts PoE so the plate can be powered from the remote end. Multichannel audio is transmitted and also de-embedded to a balanced stereo line output. Kramer I-EDIDPro EDID handling, display on/off control, a built-in control gateway, K-Pair support and secured network connection simplify setup and integration.
