How does the Kramer SWT3-21-H work?
When a presenter connects a laptop, the SWT3-21-H detects the active HDMI signal and routes it to the display according to the configured rule, either input priority or last connected. HDMI switching is HDCP 2.2 compliant at up to 18Gbps, and Kramer I-EDIDPro intelligent EDID processing handles, locks and passes EDID so sources and displays work together without manual setup. Up to 32 channels of uncompressed digital audio pass through, and the audio on the HDMI output is also de-embedded to a balanced stereo analog output for a room amplifier or DSP.
The switcher can turn a CEC-enabled or serially controlled display on and off when a source is plugged in or removed, with a user-defined shutdown delay. Its built-in control gateway lets an IP controller send RS-232 or I/O commands to connected devices, and six GPIO pins can trigger configured functions from remote contact-closure buttons. Operation is available through a browser web page, local panel buttons and IP control, with 802.1x authentication for secured IT network connection. The compact DemiTOOLS fan-less enclosure can be powered by PoE or the included 5V DC supply.
