How does the Kramer DA3-24-H work?
The DA3-24-H switches between its HDMI and USB-C inputs, then equalizes and re-clocks the selected signal before splitting it to four HDMI 2.0b outputs at up to 18Gbps. Each output can downscale automatically, so a 4K source still reaches older 1080p screens in the same room without a separate scaler.
Intelligent EDID handling, a Force RGB option and selectable HDCP authorization keep source and display handshakes predictable, which reduces the black-screen calls that come with mixed display fleets. Analog audio is extracted from the selected input, so the same signal can feed a room amplifier or DSP for program audio.
The unit is fully managed through its web GUI or the Kramer P3K protocol. It runs from a 20V DC supply (power adapter included), can provide up to 2.5W of 5V power on each HDMI port for downstream accessories, and sits in a half-19 inch enclosure with a low-noise fan for above-ceiling or rack installation.
