Product Overview

The K-Array Pinnacle KR404P II is a large-format passive stereo line array system built for auditoriums, houses of worship, and high-capacity multi-purpose rooms that need serious output without large, visually dominant loudspeaker cabinets. The system combines eight Python KP102 I stainless steel line array elements with four Thunder KS3P I passive 21" subwoofers, driven by a single Kommander KA208 eight-channel DSP amplifier. As a flagship passive column line array package for commercial AV integration, it delivers extended vertical pattern control and deep low-frequency reinforcement from one specified part number. Mounting hardware is included for permanent installation.

Product Description

Each side of the stereo system stacks two Python KP102 I elements per array position for a total of eight columns. Every KP102 I is a meter-long stainless steel enclosure housing twelve 3.15" neodymium magnet transducers, producing the long throw and high intelligibility of a pure line array with 7°–30° vertical and 90° horizontal coverage. Doubling the column length tightens vertical directivity, which keeps energy on seated audiences in deep rooms and balconied venues while minimizing reflections from ceilings and rear walls.

Four Thunder KS3P I passive subwoofers anchor the low end, each using a long-excursion 21" neodymium woofer with a 4" voice coil rated for 2800 W peak at 4 ohms. The included Kommander KA208 amplifier platform delivers 8x 2500 W at 4 ohms with onboard DSP, factory presets for every loudspeaker in the bundle, and remote control via the K-array Connect mobile app. For multi-room or campus projects, K-Framework3 software manages large numbers of Kommander units over a wired LAN, and published plugins connect the amplifier to Q-SYS, Crestron, Control4, and other commercial control platforms. The fully passive loudspeaker design keeps all serviceable electronics in the rack. See related components and accessories in the K-Array collection at Creation Networks.

Key Features

  • Flagship Passive Stereo Package — Eight KP102 I line array elements, four KS3P I subwoofers, one Kommander KA208 amplifier, and mounting hardware ship together as a single deployable system.
  • Extended Vertical Pattern Control — Stacking two meter-long KP102 I columns per position tightens vertical directivity for deep rooms, balconies, and reverberant architecture.
  • High-Intelligibility Line Array Elements — Each KP102 I packs twelve 3.15" neodymium transducers producing 134 dB peak SPL with 120 Hz – 18 kHz response.
  • Quad 21" Subwoofer Low End — Four Thunder KS3P I passive subwoofers each deliver 139 dB peak SPL with 2800 W peak power handling for full-bandwidth program material.
  • Eight Channels of DSP Amplification — The Kommander KA208 supplies 8x 2500 W at 4 ohms with factory presets matched to every loudspeaker in the system.
  • Networked Control and Monitoring — K-array Connect app control plus K-Framework3 LAN management and plugins for Q-SYS, Crestron, Control4, Kramer, RTI, Savant, and Symetrix support enterprise AV deployments.
  • Dante-Capable Ecosystem — K-Array participates in Audinate's Dante licensing program for the KA208 platform, supporting networked audio workflows in modern installations.
  • Discreet Stainless Steel Columns — The slim profile preserves sightlines and architecture in spaces where conventional large-format arrays are unacceptable.
  • Five-Year Manufacturer Warranty — K-Array's 5-year warranty policy protects the investment across the life of the installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the KR404P II differ from the KR402P II?

The KR404P II doubles the loudspeaker count: eight KP102 I elements and four KS3P I subwoofers versus four and two, and substitutes the eight-channel Kommander KA208 for the four-channel KA104. The result is longer column arrays with tighter vertical control and more low-frequency headroom for larger venues.

Is the amplifier included, and how much power does it provide?

Yes. The Kommander KA208 ships with the system and delivers 8x 2500 W into 4 ohms with onboard DSP and factory presets for the KP102 I and KS3P I.

Can this system be controlled from Q-SYS or Crestron?

Yes. K-Array publishes integration plugins for Q-SYS, Crestron, Control4, Kramer, RTI, Savant, and Symetrix, and the K-array Connect app provides direct mobile control of DSP parameters.

Does the KA208 support networked audio?

K-Array participates in Audinate's Dante licensing program for its current electronics platform, supporting IP-based audio distribution in networked AV installations. Confirm your required channel configuration with Creation Networks when specifying the project.

What mounting options does the system support?

Mounting hardware is included, and the KP102 I family supports flying via K-FLY3 bars, inter-element joining with K-JOINT3, and subwoofer-top or pole mounting with K-FOOT3 adapters. A qualified installer should engineer the final rigging.

What warranty and support come with the system?

K-Array provides a 5-year manufacturer warranty, and Creation Networks offers commercial AV sales support before and after installation.

Is this system available in white?

Yes. The same configuration is offered as the Pinnacle KR404PW II in a white finish through the K-Array collection at Creation Networks.
