The JBL PD5122 is a high-power dual 12-inch low-frequency extension unit designed to enhance the bass performance and pattern control of professional JBL PD5000 Series sound systems. Ideal for use in both flown and ground-supported configurations, the PD5122 provides a robust low-end foundation when paired with mid/high-only or full-range systems such as the PD6322. Its slot-loaded design allows it to precisely duplicate the low-frequency performance of full-range modules, ensuring consistent and impactful bass across large venues.
Featuring two 300 mm (12-inch) Vented Gap Cooled (VGC) drivers with 100 mm (4-inch) voice coils, the PD5122 delivers high output with minimal distortion and low power compression. With AES power handling of 1600 W (6400 W peak) and a system power rating of 1200 W (4800 W peak) over extended duty cycles, this unit provides the reliability and headroom required for demanding professional applications. Its frequency range spans 41 Hz to 1 kHz (-10 dB) with a focused response of 49 Hz to 300 Hz (±3 dB), producing a maximum SPL of 134 dB peak, making it perfect for sports facilities, performance spaces, auditoriums, and worship venues.
The PD5122 is built in a trapezoidal 16 mm exterior-grade birch plywood enclosure with 15-degree side angles, finished in durable Black DuraFlex™ (White available on request). Twenty M10 threaded suspension points allow for flexible rigging, and the unit supports Neutrik Speakon® NL4 or CE-compliant barrier strip inputs for loop-through connections. Optional WRC and WRX weather-resistant versions are available for outdoor or extreme-environment installations. The PD5122 combines power, precision, and reliability, making it an essential module for expanding low-frequency coverage in professional JBL systems.
