It accepts one HDMI input with a loop-through output, decodes embedded Dolby and DTS soundtracks including the immersive Dolby Atmos and DTS:X formats, and distributes up to twelve channels of surround sound plus a stereo downmix across ten built-in analog line-level outputs. An upmix function synthesizes convincing multichannel audio from ordinary stereo content, which matters when a boardroom's source material is a stereo video conference rather than a cinema soundtrack. An EXP expansion port connects directly to Extron's DMP Series audio DSP processors, so the SSP 200 can hand its decoded channels off to a full digital signal processing chain for equalization, level control, and zone routing rather than operating as an isolated box.
