The Extron DTP2 R 211 (order code 60-1631-63) is a 4K/60 HDMI DTP2 receiver for commercial AV installations requiring long-distance signal extension over shielded CATx infrastructure. It receives HDMI video at resolutions up to 4K/60 at 4:4:4 from any DTP2-enabled Extron product — including DTP CrossPoint matrix switchers and the IN1808 presentation switcher — across runs up to 330 feet (100 m). The stereo audio output is selectable between de-embedded digital audio or pass-through analog, delivered on a captive screw connector without a separate audio cable run. The quarter rack width, 1-inch high metal enclosure and remote power capability make it practical for behind-display and lectern installations where space and cabling are constrained.
Product Description
The DTP2 R 211 is the display-end component in an Extron DTP2 signal extension system, receiving the full HDMI 2.0b signal — including HDR, Deep Color up to 12-bit, HD lossless audio formats, and CEC pass-through — over a single shielded twisted pair cable run. HDCP 2.3 compliance maintains content protection interoperability with all earlier HDCP versions, and HDCP Visual Confirmation outputs a full-screen green signal if protected content reaches a non-compliant display. EDID Minder continuously maintains DDC communication between the source and display across the extension link to prevent signal handshake failures on power-up or input switch. Bidirectional RS-232 and IR pass-through allow a control system to operate display devices over the same cable without additional cabling. The DTP2 R 211 can be remotely powered by a DTP2-enabled source product over the twisted pair connection, and can be configured to supply power to a connected DTP2 transmitter for a shared single-supply installation.
