Product Overview
The Eaton PDUMH15ATNET is a switched automatic transfer switch (ATS) PDU that provides redundant power for single-corded network devices with sequential outlet turn-on and network management via 8 IP addresses. Dual input cords connect to separate primary and secondary power sources, with the unit switching automatically to the secondary source within milliseconds if the primary fails. Built-in HTML5 network access enables remote monitoring, control, and outlet switching for data center and server room deployments that need power redundancy without dual-corded equipment.
Product Description
The PDUMH15ATNET functions as a switched ATS, giving single-corded network devices a redundant power path without requiring dual power supplies. Dual input cords support connection to separate primary and secondary power sources, and under normal operation the unit maintains continuous output derived from the primary input. If the primary source becomes unstable or fails, the ATS switches over to the secondary source within milliseconds, keeping connected equipment powered through the transition. Front input LEDs display the availability of both primary and secondary power, giving on-site staff a quick visual status check.
Network management runs through a built-in, Java-free HTML5-based LX Platform interface, supporting secure web browser access along with SNMP, telnet, and SSH for status monitoring and email notifications. The unit auto-senses 10/100 Mbps Ethernet and supports IPv4, IPv6, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, SNMPv1-v3, telnet, SSH, FTP, DHCP, BOOTP, and NTP. Switched outlet functionality allows individually controllable output receptacles, and optional EnviroSense2 modules add environmental monitoring capability. ATS functionality works with any two compatible AC power sources regardless of phase angle, supporting redundant configurations that include separate mains circuits, backup generators, or even separate utility grid feeds. In a two-UPS environment, Eaton recommends that the primary input be supported by a full-time sine wave UPS with zero transfer time, such as a SmartOnline series unit, to maintain fault-tolerant, hot-swappable protection.

Key Features
- Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) — Provides redundant power for single-corded devices with millisecond switchover between sources.
- Dual Input Cords — Connects separately to primary and secondary AC power sources.
- Sequential Outlet Turn-On — Staggers power-up to help reduce inrush current across connected equipment.
- HTML5-Based LX Platform Interface — Enables Java-free remote access via web browser, SNMP, telnet, or SSH with 8 IP addresses supported.
- Individually Switched Outlets — Allows remote control of each output receptacle.
- Front Input Status LEDs — Provide a quick visual check of primary and secondary power availability.
- Optional EnviroSense2 Support — Adds environmental monitoring capability with a separately sold module.
Typical Applications
- Data center redundant power deployments
- Server room installations requiring dual power source protection
- Colocation facility redundant power infrastructure
- Network closet installations with single-corded critical equipment

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the ATS function do?
The automatic transfer switch monitors both the primary and secondary input power sources and switches connected equipment to the secondary source within milliseconds if the primary source fails or becomes unstable.
Do I need dual-corded equipment to use this PDU?
No, this unit is specifically designed to provide redundant power protection for single-corded network devices that would otherwise have no failover if their single power source failed.
Can this PDU be managed remotely?
Yes, it includes a built-in, Java-free HTML5-based LX Platform interface supporting web browser access, SNMP, telnet, and SSH, with support for 8 IP addresses.
What type of UPS is recommended for the primary input?
Eaton recommends a full-time sine wave UPS with zero transfer time, such as a SmartOnline series unit, as the primary source in a two-UPS ATS configuration.
Can the two power sources have different phase angles?
Yes, ATS functionality is supported by any two compatible AC power sources regardless of phase angle.
Can I add environmental monitoring to this unit?
Yes, optional EnviroSense2 modules are available separately and integrate with the PDU's management interface.
What warranty applies to this PDU?
Eaton backs this unit with its standard manufacturer warranty; contact Creation Networks for the current term and any extended coverage options.
