Product Description

The Saros PDS8T uses an 8 in. polypropylene woofer with a rubber surround, steel basket, and phase plug to deliver deep, full low end with reduced beaming at higher frequencies. Tailored frequency response spans 45 Hz to 125 Hz (±3 dB) with usable output down to 35 Hz, 100 W program power handling at 8 ohms, and 90 dB sensitivity. Its built-in 125 Hz second-order low-pass filter allows the subwoofer to integrate with Saros 4, 6, and 8 in. full-range speakers without a separate crossover, and optimum performance is achieved in a biamplified system with a dedicated subwoofer channel. Optimized dual front ports enhance bass response, and the transformer tap is set with a recessed screwdriver-adjustable rotary switch behind the grille. The rigid glass-fiber-reinforced ABS enclosure carries a UL 94V-0 flame rating for installation in restaurants, retail spaces, houses of worship, and outdoor entertainment areas.
