Product Description
This 12V DC fan kit provides the cooling needed for AV components stored in above-tile ceiling applications, where trapped heat can shorten equipment life. The included power supply is auto-ranging from 110 to 240 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz, so it works across standard commercial power without configuration. The fan provides 100 CFM of air movement to keep enclosed components within a safe operating temperature. It is intended for use with Chief's above-suspended-ceiling storage boxes, specifically the CMS491, CMS491C, CMS492, and CMS492C models. Installation is simple: the fan assembles to the housing using just two screws. The kit is also compatible with the NAFT85 inline thermostat, which lets integrators run the fan only when temperatures call for it. The CMSFAN is a practical add-on for protecting concealed AV gear in plenum and above-ceiling installations.
