BrightSign XC2055-WIN10 – Dual 4K HDMI Windows 10 IoT Media Player is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Product Overview
The BrightSign XC2055 Windows 10 IoT player is a fanless, dual-output media player for organizations that already run their digital signage or kiosk software on Windows 10 and want to keep that image consistent across new hardware. It pairs an Intel Gen 11 Celeron processor with 8GB of LPDDR4 memory, a 256GB SSD and two HDMI outputs, with a Windows 10 IoT license included. As a Windows 10 IoT digital signage player, it suits fleets where application compatibility and a validated software build matter more than moving to a new OS version.
Product Description
XC2055-WIN10 is the Windows 10 IoT build of BrightSign's XC5 platform, the company's multi-output, PC-class player. Instead of BrightSignOS, it runs Windows 10 IoT, so your team can install the same Windows-based signage client, dashboard viewer or custom application already deployed at other sites. That makes it a practical fit for integrators replacing aging small-form-factor PCs in a Windows 10 fleet without re-certifying software on a new operating system.
The hardware is commercial-grade: a fanless chassis with built-in wall mounting, a locking 19V power supply and a 14-day real-time clock. Two HDMI outputs drive dual displays, and BrightSign lists hardware decode for two 4K60p streams at 10-bit with HDR10 and HLG. The 256GB SSD ships installed in the internal M.2 PCIe slot, leaving room for local content libraries and application data.
Plan the control and audio design before you specify this player. Under Windows, GPIO, USB-C, IR, serial and 3.5 mm analog/SPDIF audio are not supported, and only the power status LED is active. BrightSign's free remote player management is also not available on XC5 Windows players, so remote monitoring and updates must come from your own Windows management tools or signage CMS. If you need GPIO triggers, serial control or BrightSign's own management, the BrightSign XC2055 BrightSignOS player offers the same hardware with the full I/O set. Key Features
- Windows 10 IoT license included — The player ships licensed for Windows 10 IoT, so it can join an existing Windows 10 signage fleet without a separate OS purchase.
- Application compatibility — Running Windows 10 IoT lets you deploy the same Windows-based signage client or custom application already validated at your other sites.
- Dual HDMI outputs — Two HDMI ports (HDMI 2.1a and HDMI 2.0a) drive two displays from one player for menu boards, side-by-side layouts or mirrored screens.
- Intel Gen 11 Celeron with 8GB LPDDR4 — The PC-class processor and memory give Windows applications more headroom than a typical embedded signage player.
- 256GB SSD installed — The NVMe SSD in the internal M.2 PCIe slot provides local storage for content, logs and application data.
- Fanless commercial-grade chassis — No fan means quiet operation and fewer moving parts in ceiling, wall and enclosure installs.
- Built-in wall mounting — Integrated mounting points simplify installation behind displays or inside equipment closets.
- Locking power connector — The 19V / 4.7A locking power supply helps prevent accidental disconnection in public spaces.
- 5-year warranty — BrightSign lists a 5-year parts and labor warranty for Series 5 players purchased from BrightSign after January 1, 2025.
Typical Applications
- Government space — Lobby information and wayfinding screens in agencies that standardize on Windows 10 images.
- Training room — Dual-screen training content or Windows-based learning applications driven from one player.
- Commercial meeting space — Room schedule, welcome and dashboard displays running an existing Windows signage client.
- Multi-purpose room — Flexible event and announcement screens where a familiar Windows desktop simplifies on-site changes.
- House of worship — Lobby and overflow-area announcement displays running Windows presentation or signage software.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who should choose the Windows 10 IoT version instead of Windows 11 IoT?
Choose XC2055-WIN10 when your signage or kiosk software is validated on Windows 10, or when you are adding players to an existing Windows 10 fleet and want every unit on the same image. For new projects without that constraint, BrightSign also offers the XC2055 with Windows 11 IoT.
Which XC5 I/O ports work under Windows?
Under Windows, GPIO, USB-C, IR, serial and 3.5 mm analog/SPDIF audio are not supported, and only the power status LED is active. Gigabit Ethernet, USB-A and the HDMI outputs are available. If you need GPIO or serial control, specify the BrightSignOS version of the XC2055 instead.
Can I manage this player with BrightSign's free remote management?
No. BrightSign states that its free remote player management and controls are not available on XC5 Windows players. Plan to monitor and update the player through your Windows management tools or your signage CMS.
How is the player installed?
The XC2055 has built-in wall mounting and a fanless chassis, so it can be mounted behind a display or in a cabinet. It uses a locking 19V / 4.7A power supply and should be kept within its 0 to 40 °C operating range.
How does it fit into an AV or IT network?
The player connects over Gigabit Ethernet and runs standard Windows 10 IoT, so it can be imaged, secured and joined to your domain or management platform the same way as your other Windows endpoints.
What warranty applies?
BrightSign's datasheet lists an included 5-year parts and labor warranty for Series 5 players purchased from BrightSign after January 1, 2025. The warranty does not apply to accessories.
