Product Description

The Teranex Mini SDI to Audio 12G accepts a single 12G-SDI input (auto-switching SD/HD/2K/4K up to 4096x2160p) and de-embeds its audio to a diverse output set: two channels of balanced analog or up to four channels of AES/EBU digital via full-size XLR connectors, two channels of unbalanced line-level analog via RCA, or optical S/PDIF via TOSLINK — connecting to mixers, decks, and audio monitors. A 12G-SDI output routes the original signal onward with full re-clocking, and the right XLR can be configured for timecode output. A rear Ethernet port allows remote management or PoE power, and a built-in 90–240V supply means you only need a standard IEC cable (sold separately) if not using PoE. The standard front panel has mini switches for instant settings changes and can be swapped for the optional Smart Panel with a spin knob, color LCD, and six buttons to view the conversion, monitor audio, and verify timecode and video standard. Multiple units can be managed over Ethernet from Mac or Windows using the included Converter Utility, and a smart crossflow thermal design keeps units cool when rack-mounted side by side — up to three fit in an optional 1U 19" rack tray.
