Product Overview
The Blackmagic Design Mini Converter HDMI to SDI 6G converts HDMI to SD, HD, 3G, or 6G-SDI in resolutions up to DCI 4K at 24p and UHD 4K up to 30p, letting you connect consumer HDMI devices to professional SDI equipment. It has two 6G-SDI outputs carrying duplicate signals, automatic input detection, and audio embedding from either HDMI or analog/AES-EBU inputs.
Product Description
Using 4K HDMI and 6G-SDI technology, the Mini Converter automatically detects the input format and switches instantly between SD, HD, and UHD/DCI 4K. Both 6G-SDI outputs send duplicate signals and also support SD and HD-SDI for integration into existing workflows. Audio is embedded into the SDI output from either the HDMI input or from two 1/4" jacks supporting four channels of AES/EBU digital or two channels of analog audio. Note that the HDMI input is not HDCP-compliant and cannot capture from copy-protected sources. Settings are controlled by built-in mini switches or over USB using free Mac/Windows software, which also handles firmware updates, and a 12V universal power supply with international socket adapters is included.
