Product Overview
The Biamp Vocia VFOM-1 is an optional failover module for the Vocia VA-8600 and VA-8600c networked amplifiers, supplied here in card kit form for field installation. It provides software-selectable 3:1, 7:1, or dual 3:1 channel failover. This failover option adds to the device-to-device and 1:1 channel failover already built into the VA-8600 and VA-8600c. It is intended for life-safety and high-availability paging systems.
Product Description
The VFOM-1 installs in the VA-8600 or VA-8600c amplifier and offers software-selectable 3:1, 7:1, or dual 3:1 channel failover, increasing amplifier resilience in critical installations. Because the VFOM-1 and the Page Active Relay Module (PARM-1) share the same optional slot, an amplifier can use one of these capabilities but not both at the same time. The module is EN 54-16 certified, EN 60849 and AS 60849 verified, and RoHS compliant. It is covered by Biamp's five-year warranty.
