Product Overview
The Biamp Vocia POTS-1-4 is a telephone paging adapter that connects up to four Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) lines or POTS-based PBX systems to a Vocia paging network. It enables live, real-time paging using any page code within the Vocia system, with software-configurable voice prompts. It suits commercial, government and multi-purpose facilities that page over existing phone lines. Redundant power and dual CobraNet ports support reliable operation.
Product Description
The Vocia Telephone Paging Adapter (POTS-1) facilitates a direct connection from two (POTS-1-2) or four (POTS-1-4) POTS lines or POTS-based PBX telephone systems, permitting live, real-time paging using any page code within the Vocia system. When calling into a POTS line, software-configurable voice-prompt functions are available including page-code selection, zone-status indication and page-now indication, and a DTMF tone sequence can be programmed to trigger a Vocia control-input event. In the event of a busy zone, the POTS-1 supports page stacking and store-and-forward message queuing. It supports pre-recorded messages when a Message Server (MS-1) is present, and emergency paging functions when a Vocia Life Safety Interface (LSI-16 or LSI-16e) is present. The 1RU device offers redundant 24V DC inputs, dual CobraNet ports and rotary switches for device identification.
