The Biamp Tesira AMP-450BP is a four-channel PoE+ conferencing amplifier with software-configurable output channels. Suitable for air handling spaces, it can be located close to ceiling speakers and even mounted directly to the back can of a Desono C-IC6 loudspeaker. This makes it a strong fit as a conferencing amplifier, a PoE+ ceiling speaker amplifier, and a Tesira endpoint amplifier for TesiraFORTE-equipped rooms.
Product Description
The AMP-450BP is powered by PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at Class 4, 30W) and provides 3 watts of continuous power to all four channels, with a burst mode that handles peak signals in accordance with ANSI/CTA-2006-B, supporting up to 50 watts into a 4-ohm load or 30 watts into an 8-ohm load per channel. It includes an internal limiter and offers software-selectable power versus channel count. Each unit comes with an optional mechanical enclosure to protect electrical connections and comply with typical code requirements for above-ceiling installations, plus the included BPAK accessory. RJ-45 connectors enable termination-free connections to compatible speakers such as the Desono C-IC6. The amplifier uses Class D topology with fanless operation, includes an audible locate function on the front panel, and is configurable via Tesira software. It serves as a dedicated endpoint in a Tesira system and is evaluated to UL 2043 for use in air handling spaces. It is CE marked, UL listed, and RoHS compliant.
