When a design calls for a single powered Biamp endpoint but the local switch is not PoE-capable, adding a full managed PoE switch is often overkill. The POE29U-1AT(PL)D-R injects power onto the data run for one device, delivering up to 30 W at 56 VDC per the IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) standard. Its support for hardware-based 2-event classification is the important detail for AV system integration: Biamp specifies this behavior so Tesira devices negotiate the correct power class at startup.
