AUDAC ISP40 – 1RU Internet Radio Player with RS-232 Control

What is the AUDAC ISP40 internet audio player?

The AUDAC ISP40 is a professional 1RU internet radio player for commercial background music systems in retail, corporate offices, houses of worship and hospitality venues. It streams from a synchronized database of more than 30,000 stations and outputs balanced stereo line audio to any amplifier or matrix. Linum™ technology and an internal buffer keep music playing through short network interruptions, which matters in spaces where silence is noticed immediately.

How does the AUDAC ISP40 internet audio player work?

The ISP40 connects to the building's data network through an RJ45 Ethernet port with indicator LEDs. AUDAC's Linum™ technology prevents unwanted behavior such as sudden channel hopping or music stops, while the internal buffer bridges brief connection drops and restores the stream automatically. Stations can be selected by genre, location or language from the vTuner database, and up to 100 custom streams can be stored in a preference list. Supported stream formats are MP3, WMA and AAC. Front-panel operation uses a 2.8" display, a push rotary dial and four tactile buttons, so staff can change stations without training. Output level, IP settings and advanced network settings are user configurable for integration on office or enterprise networks. Balanced stereo audio leaves through two 3-pin terminal blocks rated from +8 dB to -92 dB. An RS-232 port allows control from automation systems, and the optional RMT40 2.4 GHz RF remote lets users control a unit hidden in a rack. A USB connection is provided for updates and remote control.
