The AUDAC GFC06MK2 is a gypsum installation ring that sets a CELO6 ceiling speaker grill completely flush with a drywall ceiling. Instead of a speaker sitting on the surface, the ring is plastered into the ceiling so the speaker grill becomes part of the finished plane. It is meant for high-end interiors where even the CELO's slim 3.2 mm grill profile is too much.
What does the AUDAC GFC06MK2 gypsum flush mount ring do?
The ring is set into a 13.39" cut-out and fixed with the four included leveling ears, spring washers and M4x8 bolts, which adjust for different ceiling thicknesses. The drywall finisher then tapes and skims over the ring's rough-textured gypsum face so it disappears into the ceiling. Once finished, the CELO6 speaker installs into the ring and its magnetic grill sits flush. Plan the ring before drywall finishing starts; it is a rough-in part, not a retrofit.
