What is the AUDAC FX3.15 high-output 3-way loudspeaker?
The AUDAC FX3.15 is a high-output 3-way loudspeaker cabinet built around a 15" horn-loaded mid-bass driver, a 6" neodymium mid driver and a 1.75" PEEK compression driver. It handles 750 W continuous (AES) and reaches 134 dB maximum SPL from a compact plywood enclosure with an integrated rigging frame. It is the full-range top of the AUDAC FX series, designed to pair with the FX1.18 18" subwoofer for sports venues, event spaces, concert halls and large outdoor PA deployments.
How does the AUDAC FX3.15 work?

The FX3.15 is an active-driven cabinet: there is no passive crossover inside, so each of the three sections is filtered by an external DSP and powered by its own amplifier channel. AUDAC allocates 500 W RMS to the mid-bass section, 200 W RMS to the mid section and 50 W RMS to the high section, which keeps each driver in its optimal band and gives the system designer full control over crossover points, EQ and limiting. AUDAC's connection manual shows a single 4-channel amplifier driving one cabinet, with two channels bridged for the 15" section and one channel each for mid and high. In practice that makes a four-channel DSP amplifier such as the AUDAC SMQ500 or SMQ750, with WaveDynamics processing, the natural drive source for this tri-amped loudspeaker.
The 90° x 40° horn carries both the mid and high-frequency drivers and can be rotated, so the same cabinet can be flown horizontally or vertically and positioned left or right without losing pattern control. Signal and amplifier feeds land on two 8-pin Speakon-compatible connectors, which allows link-through when multiple identical cabinets run in the same system. The ±3 dB response of 130 Hz to 20 kHz (85 Hz at -10 dB) is intentional: the FX3.15 is voiced to hand low frequencies off to a dedicated subwoofer, which is why AUDAC packages it with the FX1.18 and the BASSO infra-subwoofer range.

The enclosure is 18 mm (0.71") solid plywood finished in weatherproof, scratch-resistant DuraCoat textured paint, with eight integrated carry handles and a metal rigging frame that lets multiple FX cabinets be flown together. AUDAC offers dedicated MBK300S and MBK302S ceiling flying systems for single-cabinet and top-plus-sub configurations. Creation Networks designs, programs, installs and supports AUDAC sound systems nationwide, from amplifier sizing and DSP tuning to rigging and commissioning; browse the full AUDAC lineup for matching subwoofers, amplifiers and mounting hardware.

| MBK300S / MBK302S | Ceiling flying system | Top only, or top plus FX1.18 |
What are the key features of the AUDAC FX3.15?
- High-output 3-way design — A 15" horn-loaded mid-bass, 6" neodymium mid and 1.75" PEEK compression driver deliver 105 dB sensitivity and 134 dB maximum SPL.
- Active-driven sections — With no internal passive crossover, each section is processed and amplified separately for precise DSP tuning and protection.
- Rotatable 90° x 40° horn — The horn turns for horizontal or vertical mounting, so one cabinet covers floor-stacked, flown and side-fill positions.
- 750 W continuous power handling — The cabinet is rated 750 W AES, 1500 W program and 3000 W peak at 8 Ω.
- Integrated metal rigging frame — Multiple cabinets can be flown together safely using the built-in frame and AUDAC MBK flying systems.
- DuraCoat weatherproof finish — The textured, scratch-resistant coating over 18 mm plywood stands up to touring handling and exposed locations.
- Speakon link-through — Two 8-pin Speakon-compatible connectors simplify wiring when several identical cabinets share a system.
- Eight carry handles — Integrated handles make a 104.7 lb cabinet practical to position and rig.
- 5-year manufacturer warranty — AUDAC backs the FX3.15 with a 5-year warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the FX3.15 need a special amplifier?
Yes. It has no internal passive crossover, so it needs external DSP and separate amplifier channels for the mid-bass, mid and high sections. A 4-channel DSP amplifier such as the AUDAC SMQ500 or SMQ750 handles one cabinet, with two channels bridged for the 15" section.
Do I need a subwoofer with the FX3.15?
For full-range music and event playback, yes. The cabinet's ±3 dB response starts at 130 Hz, and it is designed to pair with the FX1.18 18" subwoofer or the AUDAC BASSO infra-subwoofers.
Can the FX3.15 be flown or rigged?
Yes. It has an integrated metal rigging frame, and AUDAC offers the MBK300S flying system for one FX3.15 and the MBK302S for one FX3.15 plus one FX1.18. Rigging should always be designed and installed by qualified personnel.
Can it be mounted horizontally?
Yes. The 90° x 40° horn rotates, so the coverage pattern stays correct whether the cabinet is mounted horizontally or vertically.
Is the FX3.15 suitable for outdoor installations?
The cabinet uses weatherproof DuraCoat textured paint over 18 mm plywood and is used by AUDAC in outdoor sports and event venues. For permanent outdoor exposure, Creation Networks will review placement, cover and cabling details with you during design.
What warranty does it carry?
AUDAC provides a 5-year manufacturer warranty on the FX3.15.

Yes. We size amplifiers, program DSP, design rigging and install and support AUDAC systems nationwide. See the AUDAC collection or call (888) 230-3661.
