What is the AUDAC COM104 public address amplifier?
The AUDAC COM104 is a compact public address mixer amplifier delivering 40 W to a 70V or 100V speaker line or a 4 Ω load. It mixes one balanced mic input with one stereo line input. It is a simple, low-cost choice for small retail stores, cafes, offices and reception areas.
How does the AUDAC COM104 public address amplifier work?
The COM104 uses class-D amplification in a half-rack, convection-cooled chassis, so it runs silently on a shelf or two-up in a rack with the optional adapter. The balanced mic input has priority and 15 V phantom power, so announcements override background music from the RCA or 3.5 mm line input. A priority mute contact ties in a fire alarm. Speakers connect to a 4-pin terminal block with 4 Ω, 70V and 100V taps, and protection covers short circuits, overheating, overload and clipping. For twice the power, see the COM108.
