The ALTI6 pairs a 6.5" driver with a coaxially mounted 1" soft dome tweeter and a phase plug for strong off-axis performance, housed in a high-quality polypropylene enclosure with an aluminium grill. It handles 60 W AES continuous and 120 W program power. Connections are made on a 4-pin Euro terminal block behind the rear cover, next to a rotary selector that switches between 16 Ω low-impedance operation and the 70V/100V transformer taps; on 100V lines it taps at 60, 30 or 15 W, and on 70V lines at 60, 30, 15 or 7.5 W. The speaker hangs from a 3.5 m (137.8 in) connection cable that integrates the audio conductors with two steel cores for suspension and drop safety in one jacket. The cable fixes with two snap hooks at the speaker end and a dual Gripple locking system at the ceiling, and a cable cover hides the ceiling connection. AUDAC's SlideCap rear cover slides on after installation to hide the connection and suspension. Longer runs are possible with AUDAC's 7 m and 10 m dual-steel-core cables. AUDAC's LENTO6.16 set drives 16 x ALTI6 from a PMQ240 70/100V amplifier, and LENTO6.6E drives six from an EPA252. Add low end with an ARCHI10 architectural subwoofer, use the smaller ALTI4, or choose the matching ALTI6/W in white.
