Product Overview
The Atlona AT-OME-RX11 is a 4K HDBaseT receiver designed for commercial AV installations requiring reliable long-distance video distribution over category cable. Part of the Atlona Omega Series, this HDBaseT receiver for HDMI delivers 4K/60 4:2:0 video, embedded audio, bidirectional control, and Ethernet pass-through at distances up to 330 feet (100 meters). Integrators deploying 4K HDMI over HDBaseT in conference rooms, boardrooms, and multi-purpose AV spaces will find the AT-OME-RX11 a cost-effective endpoint solution for Omega Series and legacy Atlona HDBaseT systems.
Product Description
The Atlona AT-OME-RX11 is an HDBaseT receiver that accepts 4K/UHD video up to 4K/60 4:2:0 and 4K/30 4:4:4, along with embedded audio, RS-232, IP control, and Ethernet over a single CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, or CAT7 cable. Maximum transmission distance is 330 feet (100 meters) using CAT6/6a/7, or 295 feet (90 meters) with CAT5e. The unit outputs HDMI 2.0 via a Type-A connector and supports HDMI data rates up to 10 Gbps, making it compatible with PCs, media players, and Ultra HD Blu-ray sources. HDCP 2.2 compliance ensures protected content passes through the distribution chain without error, provided the paired transmitter is also HDCP 2.2 compliant. A key differentiator of the OME-RX11 is its two-channel audio de-embedding capability, which routes stereo PCM audio to a balanced 5-pin captive screw output — ideal for feeding a power amplifier and speakers when a local audio zone is required at the display end. Multi-channel audio formats including Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, DTS:X, and DTS-HD Master Audio pass through the HDMI output unchanged. The receiver also supplies IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) over the HDBaseT link to compatible Omega Series, HDVS-200 Series, or AT-UHD-EX-100CE-TX-PD transmitters, eliminating a power supply at the transmitter end. Front panel LEDs provide instant power and HDBaseT link status confirmation during commissioning and troubleshooting. With a low-profile 1.02-inch enclosure, the unit installs discreetly under tables, behind displays, or inside furniture. Field firmware updates are performed via the front-panel Mini-USB port without removing the unit from installation.
Key Features
- 4K/UHD HDBaseT Reception — Receives 4K/60 4:2:0 and 4K/30 4:4:4 video over CAT5e/6/6a/7 up to 330 feet (100 m).

- RS-232 and IP Control — Bidirectional RS-232 (2400–115200 baud) and IP pass-through enable full system control at the display end.
- CEC Support — Passes CEC signals for one-touch display control from upstream switching equipment.
- Ethernet Pass-Through — 100Base-T LAN port provides network connectivity at the display location via the HDBaseT link.
- Low-Profile Enclosure — 1.02-inch (26 mm) height allows installation in confined spaces, furniture, and display mounts.
- Field-Updatable Firmware — Mini-USB port supports in-field firmware updates without system downtime.
- Front Panel Status LEDs — Power and HDBaseT link LEDs support rapid commissioning and fault diagnosis.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: What cable types and lengths does the AT-OME-RX11 support for 4K video?
- The AT-OME-RX11 receives 4K/UHD video up to 330 feet (100 meters) using CAT6, CAT6a, or CAT7 cable. With CAT5e, maximum 4K distance is 295 feet (90 meters). At 1080p, all cable types support the full 330-foot run.
- Q: Can the AT-OME-RX11 power a transmitter over the HDBaseT link?
- Yes. The AT-OME-RX11 supplies IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet over the HDBaseT connection, allowing compatible Omega Series, HDVS-200 Series, and AT-UHD-EX-100CE-TX-PD transmitters to operate without a separate power supply at the transmitter end.
- Q: What audio formats does the audio de-embedding output support?
- The analog audio output de-embeds two-channel PCM stereo audio to a balanced 5-pin captive screw connector. Multi-channel formats (Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, DTS:X, DTS-HD Master Audio, etc.) pass through the HDMI output to the display or audio processor; they are not available on the analog output.
- Q: Is the AT-OME-RX11 compatible with non-Atlona HDBaseT transmitters?
- The AT-OME-RX11 is designed for use with Atlona Omega Series, HDVS-200 Series, and UHD-EX-100CE transmitters. Compatibility with third-party HDBaseT transmitters is not guaranteed and Atlona technical support is limited to verified Atlona system pairings.
- Q: How is the AT-OME-RX11 controlled in an integrated AV system?
- The unit passes RS-232 (bidirectional, 2400–115200 baud) and IP control signals from the HDBaseT link through to connected devices. CEC is also supported for display power control. There is no standalone IP control interface on the receiver itself.
- Q: How do I update firmware on the AT-OME-RX11?
- Firmware updates are performed via the front-panel Mini-USB port. Connect a PC running the Atlona firmware update utility, load the firmware file, and follow the on-screen instructions. The unit does not need to be removed from the installation for this process.
- Q: What are the physical installation options for the AT-OME-RX11?
- The unit ships with surface mounting hardware and has a low-profile 1.02-inch enclosure suitable for installation under tables, in furniture, behind displays, or above ceiling tiles. It is not a rack-mount device without an optional rack tray accessory.
