The IP216-C is the CobraNet-based model in AtlasIED's IP200 Series Announcement Control System (ACS) — the heart of the GLOBALCOM enterprise-wide communications management system, managing the flow of announcements and messages between digital communication stations, zone controllers, network power amplifiers, IP-based loudspeakers, and other IP endpoints.
How does the Atlas Sound IP216-C work?
The IP216-C also serves as a gateway for external I/O devices, VoIP telephone systems, and analog audio into the GLOBALCOM ecosystem. It ships plug-and-play ready with GCK application software pre-installed, configured through an intuitive Windows application, and supports 16x16 CobraNet audio channels alongside VoIP and IEDNet+ control. VoIP is WAN-enabled, so communication routes across an entire enterprise or to another LAN location, not just a single building.
