Product Overview

The AtlasIED IP-ZCM2RMK is a dual IP-to-analog gateway kit that bridges network-based unified communication platforms to analog paging and notification systems. The package includes two PoE+ powered IP-ZCM zone controllers with integrated amplifiers plus a rack mount kit that mounts both units in a standard-width 1RU rack space. IT managers and AV integrators deploy it to send InformaCast, SIP, or VoIP paging audio into existing 25V/70.7V overhead paging zones without replacing analog speaker infrastructure. It is a practical building block for IP paging system integration across schools, offices, healthcare, and government facilities.

Product Description

AtlasIED IP-ZCM2RMK dual PoE+ IP-to-analog gateways with rack mount kit

Each IP-ZCM gateway in the kit is an IP-addressable endpoint, registering directly within Singlewire InformaCast and Syn-Apps SA-Announce advanced notification platforms to support audio broadcast, bell schedules, pre-recorded messages, and scheduled announcements over WAN/LAN network architecture. In Cisco environments, the gateways join Cisco Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) as supported devices, preserving local paging when a WAN outage cuts access to the centralized Cisco Unified Communications Manager — a critical capability during emergencies that may themselves cause the outage. Where third-party notification applications are not required, the gateways register as SIP devices directly to a SIP server or VoIP communications manager for critical alert and public address applications. On the analog side, each unit provides a line-level output ideal for feeding AtlasIED AA, PA, or CP series amplifiers driving large 25V, 70.7V, or 100V speaker or paging horn zones, plus one channel of 15-watt RMS amplified output at 8-ohm or 70.7V to power a small analog speaker cluster directly. Two GPI inputs, one GPI output, and a microphone input support access control triggering, fire alarm assistance, and talkback or listen applications for two-way audio in video surveillance integration. Auto-provisioning and auto-registration place the gateways on your Voice VLAN like a VoIP handset, sharing the same Quality of Service as your phones so paging traffic stays secure and guaranteed. PoE/PoE+ powering eliminates local power supplies, though a 24VDC option exists. Browse our AtlasIED collection for compatible amplifiers and 70V loudspeakers to complete the analog side of your deployment.

Key Features

  • Dual Gateway Kit with Rack Mount — Two IP-ZCM zone controllers and a rack mount kit install side by side in one standard 1RU rack space.
  • PoE+ Powered — Operates from IEEE 802.3af/802.3at compliant PoE(+) network switches, removing the need for local power at the rack (24VDC local PSU optional).
  • InformaCast and SA-Announce Native — Registers directly as a communication endpoint in Singlewire InformaCast and Syn-Apps SA-Announce mass notification platforms.
  • Cisco SRST Support — Joins Cisco Unified SRST endpoint architecture so paging continues at remote sites during WAN outages.
  • Direct SIP Registration — Registers to a SIP server or VoIP communications manager when third-party notification software is not used.
  • Integrated 15 W Amplifier — Each gateway drives a small analog speaker cluster at 8-ohm or 70.7V output without an external amplifier.
  • Line-Level Zone Output — Feeds AtlasIED AA, PA, or CP series amplifiers to power large 25V, 70.7V, or 100V distributed speaker zones.
  • GPIO and Microphone I/O — Two GPI inputs, one GPI output (2A @ 30 VDC), and a mic input enable access control triggers, fire alarm assist, and talkback applications.
  • Auto-Provisioning on the Voice VLAN — Auto-registration via SLP, DHCP Option 72, or IEDNet+ configures units like VoIP handsets with shared QoS.
  • Standards-Based VoIP Audio — Supports G.711 u-law/a-law and G.722 wideband audio codecs over 10/100Base-T Ethernet with 802.1q tagging.

Typical Applications

Frequently Asked Questions

What platforms does the IP-ZCM2RMK work with?

The gateways register natively with Singlewire InformaCast and Syn-Apps SA-Announce notification platforms, join Cisco SRST endpoint architecture, or register directly to any SIP server or VoIP communications manager when third-party software is not required.

Can it drive my existing analog paging speakers?

Yes. Each gateway provides a line-level output to feed AtlasIED AA, PA, or CP series amplifiers for large 25V, 70.7V, or 100V zones, plus a built-in 15-watt amplifier that powers a small analog speaker cluster directly.

How is the unit powered?

Each gateway draws power from an IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at compliant PoE(+) network switch over the same Ethernet cable that carries audio, or from an optional local 24VDC power supply.

Does paging keep working if our WAN connection goes down?

In Cisco environments, yes. The gateways join Cisco Unified SRST, which provides remote-site call processing redundancy so LAN paging between phones and speakers continues during a WAN outage.

How difficult is network configuration?

Auto-provisioning and auto-registration place the gateways on your Voice VLAN much like a VoIP handset, using SLP, DHCP Option 72, or IEDNet+. A built-in HTTP GUI handles static configuration when needed.

Can it integrate with access control and fire alarm systems?

Yes. Two GPI inputs and one GPI output let the gateways trigger or be triggered by access control systems and assist fire alarm notification, and the microphone input supports talkback for video surveillance audio.

What warranty applies?

AtlasIED warrants the IP-ZCM2RMK for 60 months from the date of purchase.
