Product Description
The FD72W-HC is a cost-effective complete assembly that eliminates the need to source speaker, transformer, baffle, and grille separately. The 8-inch paper cone driver uses a 1-inch voice coil and delivers a frequency response of 100 Hz to 10 kHz with 97 dB peak sensitivity, making it well suited for voice intelligibility in paging systems and background music in commercial spaces. The 25V/70.7V dual-voltage transformer provides compatibility with both 25V systems common in smaller distributed audio designs and standard 70.7V commercial amplifiers. Power taps at 0.5, 1, 2, and 4 watts give system designers flexibility to balance coverage across zones. The Hyfidrophobic grille treatment repels water and moisture, protecting the speaker assembly in areas exposed to humidity, steam, or cleaning spray. The 105-degree dispersion angle provides wide coverage from a single ceiling location. Factory assembly on the 62-8 baffle simplifies installation by delivering a ready-to-install unit. A 60-month warranty is included.
